Dimensions:  height 53 cm, width 45 cm

According to the Byzantine iconography, hell is symbolically depicted as an earth fault. Christ is shown trampling on hell. The catastrophe of hell is depicted as ruined gates and broken locks. The central figures of the composition are Jesus Christ, Adam and Eva being led out of hell.
