Date: XVI century. The second half of the 16th c.

Origin: From the Church of the Savior on the Gorodu, Yaroslavl.

Material: Wood, levkas, tempera

Dimensions:  height 137 cm, width 116 cm

In the upper part of the icon, against a city wall of Constantinople, is the Deesis, in the central part of which is the figure of the blessing Jesus Christ with a gospel in his hands. On either side of Him, stand in a three-quarter turn the figures of the Mother of God, John the Baptist, saint John Chrysostom and Basil the Great. In the lower part of the icon, on either sides of the spring-well with a cross, surrounded by angels, stand the groups of the afflicted.
