Date: XVII century. The second half of the 17th century.

Iconographic school/art center:  North of Russia (Pomorye).

Origin: From the Chruch of the Apostles Peter and Paul in the village of Virma, Belomorsky district, the Republic of Karelia.

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 78,5 cm, width 66,5 cm

In the left upper corner is the scene of the Entrance of Our Lord into Jerusalem. To the right is the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. In the upper part of the icon are the scenes of the Deposition from the Cross and the Laying in the Tomb.
