Date: XVIII century. The middle of the 18th c.

Iconographic school/art center:  North of Russia (Zaonezhye).

Origin: From a chapel of the Church of the Mother of God in the village of Kurgenitsy, Medvezhyegorsky district, the Republic of Karelia.

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 72,5 cm, width 64,4 cm

The figures of Sts. Zosima and Savvaty in front of Our Lay of the Sign. They hold a model of the Solovetsky Monastery of the Transfiguration of Our Lord. The centerpiece is surrounded by twelve border scenes.
