Origin: From the church commemorating the Transfiguration of Our Lord in the village of Borisoglebskoye at the bank of the Irma river, Cherepovetsky district, Novgorodskaya region (now Sheksninsky district, Vologodskaya region)

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 135 cm, width 105 cm

Shoulder-length depiction of Nicholas the Wonderworker with the omophorion decorated with the crosses on his shoulders.

Saints on the borders: John the Precurser, Venerable Zosima, st. Theodotus, on the right border – Venerable Cyril of Belozersk, Sabbatius of Solovki, Cyril of Novoezersk.

Inscriptions: In the centerpiece, to the right and to the left of saint Nicholas: АГИ (СВЯТОЙ) НИКОЛАЕ ВЕЛИКОРЕЦ[КИЙ] ЧУДОТВОРЕЦЪ

On the lower border: НАПИСАНА СИЯ ИКОНА В ЛЕТО 7178 (1670) ОКТЯБРЯ В 15 ДЕ[НЬ] ПО ОБЕЩАНИЮ СМО[ЛЯ]НИНА ФЕОДОТА ПЕТРОВА СЫНА МИКУЛИНА.

Was deposited in 1931.
