Iconography:  Hospitality of Abraham’s (The Old Testament Trinity)

Date: XVII century.

Origin: From the church commemorating Intercession of the Holy Virgin in the village of Konetchnovo of the Cherepovetsky district, Novgorodskaya region (now the village of Konetchnoye in the Cherepovetsky district, Vologodskaya region).

Material: Wood, tempera

Dimensions:  height 116,5 cm, width 94,5 cm

The center of the composition shows the depiction of the three angels seated around the table throne. At their sides are represented standing Abraham and Sarah holding the phials in their hands. In the lower part of the composition is the servant immolating the calf for the repast.

Was deposited in 1968.

Restoration: Vologda branch of the All-Russian Art Scientific and Restoration Center named after I.E. Grabar, 1996, restorer – Belov S.P.
