Origin: was removed from the church of Baptism of Our Lord on Ukhtostrov, Kholmogorsky district, Archangelskaya region (1850-1856)

Material: Wood, cut-back central portion, canvas, levkas, tempera

Dimensions:  height 184 cm, width 148 cm

Against the background of the temple is the Mother of God with the Divine Child on Her lap sitting on the throne surrounded by the glorious aureole, being held by the two angels. Below are represented reverend John of Damascus, in his hands is the scroll with the hymn “In Thee Rejoiceth” printed on it. To the left is John the Forerunner. Below is the host of the orthodox saints, glorifying the Mother of God. The borders of the icon and the upper part of the background are decorated by the stamped levkas imitating the silver basm cover.
