Origin: from the church of the Mother of God Hodehetria in the village of Malaya Shalg, Kargopolsky district, Archangelskaya region (1834-1836)

Material: Wood, canvas, levkas, tempera

Dimensions:  height 48,5 cm, width 46,5 cm

Against the architectural background is a high bed with Anne lying on it; maidens are interceding. Below in front of the bed is depicted washing of the new born child. Top the right Joachim and Anne are cuddling-up Mary.
